1st edition of the National Public Speaking Conclave
Sarla Birla Public School, Ranchi where students from 36 schools from 11 states of 2 countries participated with full zeal and passion.
Sunbeam Suncity (School & Hostel) participated in this National Conclave and it gives me immense pleasure to state that -
Ananya Mishra of class XII won “The Most Promising Speaker Award” in Debate,
Kabir Shankar Rai and Soumya of class V won the third prize in Storytelling and Vanshika of class III won the first prize in Puppetry.
Eminent schools like Mayo Schools, DPS Greater Noida and The Emeralds Heights International School participated in the event.

Spectrum 2021
The first day of spectrum 2021 where the triad of BGN, ING, and SCT faced each other,was an exciting experience. The eminent judges for the day were Ms. Maya Menon, Ms. Swati Shukla, RJ Ayesha, Ms Pratibha Sinha, Ms. Champa and Dr. Deepshikha.
The joy of creativity is visible and it is evident that such platform offers these students a great opportunity to hone their inner talents and express themselves with confidence and panache which goes a long way All the best ! !
Fancy Dress Competition
Students of Sunbeam Suncity, Grade 2 were full of enthusiasm to take part in Fancy Dress Competition ( Professionals' Visit) to say thank you to all the essential workers of our society.
Students dressed up as Doctor, Teacher, Tailor, Fruit-Seller and many other people who help us.
The event was judged by Ms. Sripriya Vishwanathan from Chennai.
Students really had a fun learning experience.
Sawan Celebration
The holy month of Sawan, also known as Sharvan, has arrived and it is the time to celebrate the beauty of nature. The students from Nursery to Class 2 of Sunbeam Suncity were all prepared by applying mehendi and dressed up in Green to have Grand Online celebration of this festival with lot of dance, song and various leaf activities.

They understood that good performances don’t live up to expectations but potential. The session initiated with Mr Syed Sultan Ahmed MD @LXL ideas, keynote speaker upon ‘STOP NOT TILL THE GOAL IS REACHED’ The Postcard dealt with the discussions about situations in which one felt like quitting but didn't, it doesn't matter how fast you're going as long as you're moving and in the process they discovered a stronger and more indestructible version of themselves with 150 participants of 22 Schools and 10 baraza groups , from India and South Africa.
Students of class VII in HANDS TO STAGE event in English Literary Fest
"We are only puppets, our strings are pulled by the Almighty." -Georg Buchner. Today the string pullers were the students of class VII in HANDS TO STAGE event in English Literary Fest. A puppet show has been organized where the participants have narrated proverbs based their own written stories through beautiful handmade puppets using colourful and interesting props and backdrops. It was an immense pleasure and a joyful learning experience for the little storytellers. The participants were appreciated and motivated by the Principal Ms. Archana Singh, the Vice Principal Ms. Sarita Rao and the judge Ms. Jyoti Pandey.
'Think before you Speak and Read before you Think.'
Class 3 started their assembly to celebrate Reading Mahotsav. Assembly started with a positive thought. Then a new word 'VERBALIZE' was shared. Latest news headlines was shared to update everyone. Information about famous books for kids was shared and a brief introduction about these books was given to students.
Tokyo Olympics 2020,was the talk of the town, so information about it was shared in the assembly. Children shared their favourite book and character through Padlet. Junior School was lucky to have Girijesh Sir today in the assembly. He spoke to junior school and shared his experience about reading. At last Vice Principal Ma'am addressed the assembly and motivated the students to read more and more books.

Cartoons have always been an important part of everyones life during childhood. The cartoon series not only are meant to entertain us, but they also play a very important role in teaching. We have also seen that small kids are learning through cartoon animations. They find it very interesting and entertaining at the same time. Literacy begins with Story.
The third day of Reading Mahotsav "Good Read" started with narration and explanation of Sudama Charit, the beautiful creation of Narottam Das by the Academic Head of Middle Block Ms. Usha Singh.
In sync to the Good Read our Principal Ma'am Ms. Archana Singh told students about Genghis Khan, one of the most famous conquerors who had the largest and most contagious empire throughout human history through the famous book Shaping History.
These stories of the past brought about a change and helped our students learned ethical values and also embellish their minds with valuable and riveting knowledge. They enjoyed the session with zeal.
Sunbeam Suncity Varanasi is hosting Round Square Postcard 'Footprints in the Sand' on 7th July,2021 from 1 pm onwards.
The Postcard dealth with inspirational personalities around us. 93 students of 18 Schools from India, Australia, South Africa, United Kingdom and Oman participated and shared the inspirational stories of these ordinary people who are doing extraordinary work.
The interactions were heartfelt and left a lasting prints on the hearts of all the attendees.

Class 8 D conducted a special Assembly on the theme Sikh Gurus and their teachings.
Today from the Middle Block, class 8 D conducted a special Assembly on the theme Sikh Gurus and their teachings.
The assembly started with beautiful lines in Sikh version of " *Thou art without body followed, without attachment, without colour, caste, lineage and name. Thou art The Destroyer of ego, the vanquished of tyrants and performer of works leading to salvation* and followed by the prayer *Ek Omkar Satnam Lyrics*, and followed by the thought of the day, news headlines and Word of the Day.
Then proceeded with a beautiful video presentation by the students of class 8 D in which students were dressed up like the 10 Sikh Gurus who were the spiritual master of the sikhs and they preached very well-known shloka of each Guru.
The presentation started with beautiful lines and was further proceeded with the short information about the gurus. Assembly was concluded with the school anthem and coming to the end the students thanked their teachers and the audience.
Prayaas.... A learning expedition.
Day one started with full zeal and enthusiasm. Role play activity was done by class 3 students. There were all familiar faces and few character close to our heart also.We have seen our beloved Founder Mother Mrs. Deesh Ishrat Madhok, Famous journalist Rohit Sardana,Our very own Zoom app, Online teacher and many more interesting characters were portrayed by our little actors. Judge for today's event, Ms. Shalini Narang appreciated students' for their amazing performance. Vote of thanks was given by Ms. Kavita Dixit, Academic Head.

The Shrimad Bhagavad Gita 'The Song by God' often referred to as the Gita, is a 700-verse Hindu scripture that is part of the epic Mahabharata. It is considered to be one of the holy scriptures for Hinduism.Sunbeam
Suncity Varanasi has conducted Book Dissemination competition for the class IX & X Students. The four teams Red, Blue, Green & Yellow have disseminated the sixteen Adhayas of Bhagwad Gita and the Anchoring Team disseminated 17 & 18 Adhayas.
Red house beautifully presented the first four Adhayas. Adhyay first verse - 33, Adhyay 2nd verse - 63, Adhyay 2nd verse - 64, Adhyay 2nd verse - 65.

Students dressed up as Lord Krishna and Prince Arjuna and have a nice explanation of the slokas with examples.
Green house also presented the 9-12 Adhyays wonderfully.

The Anchoring team also dessiminated the two Adhayas 17 & 18 creatively.
Judge Ms. Reeta Mookherjee critically judged each and every performance and gave her valuable feedback. Principal - Mrs. Archana Singh appreciated the efforts of the students as they dessiminated Bhagwad Gita going beyond academics.
Overall the event gave the children learn the values of life.

THE DOON SCHOOL ONLINE POST CARD - ROUND SQUARE ACTIVITY
It was an ecstatic experience to be the part of Doon School Postcard invitation to ponder on the term democracy via throwing some glimpse on how the ethos and sense of democracy is prevailing in the school culture. Four student representatives from Sunbeam Suncity represented the democratic institution of Suncity alongwith other students who participated across the globe via their individual pictures.

Class - IV
Miss Aaria, Miss omee, Miss Saumya and Miss Neelakshi registered their Speeches regarding to rescue the nature. Master Siddhant and Master Pavitram recited nature based poem. Miss Anushka Anand and Miss Anushka singh flickered on theme 'Save Environment from Plastic', Master Divyanshu, Miss Neelakshi and Master Pavitram had brought their thoughts through sketching. Activity reached to an end with the Magic Show of Miss Aastha
Class - V
Funtastic Activity of Class - V stretched the brilliant colours of enjoyment and love for nature. It initiated with painting of Miss Hanshika , Miss Navya followed the sequence with a recitation of poem , Master Shikhar showed his skills of Origami, Miss Divya and Miss Manya came up with dance performances. Master Suyash added melody in the air with his singing. Activity came to an end with the painting presentation of Miss Samarpita.
Class - VI
Activity commenced with Miss Shreshtha’s book mark and was followed by Master Harshwardhan’s piano presentation and then Miss Amrita took us to her magical cuboid thereafter came Miss Tanishka with a beautiful poem. Miss Sannidhi also came with a dance performance and with these beautiful eye pleasing giveaways the Funtastic got concluded.
