Newly created - ‘Ghats of Banares’ – at Anand Kanan on Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport, Varanasi, was dedicated to the public on 7th November 2015 by Dr. Mahesh Sharma – Minister of State (Independent Charge)- Culture & Tourism and Civil Aviation in the presense of Mr. Deepak Madhok (Chairman – Sunbeam Group of Educational Institutions) & Mr. D.S.Gariya (LBS Airport Director)
Sunbeam Group of Educational Institutions has developed and will be maintaining the ‘Anand Kanan’ garden at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport at Varanasi. On December 20 2015, ‘Anand Kanan’ was dedicated to public by Mr. Rakesh Kalra, Regional Executive Director (Northern region) of AAI in presence of Mr. Deepak Madhok, Chairman of Sunbeam Group of Educational Institutions, Mrs. Bharti Madhok, Director of Sunbeam Group of Educational Institutions and Mr. S.K. Mallick, Director AAI – Lal Bahadurshashtri Airport Varanasi.
The theme of the park is to highlight the rich heritage of Varanasi. The park depicts the oldest city as an education and cultural centre. It would not only be feast for eye for foreign tourists, but will also be an information centre about the history and legacy of the city of Varanasi.
Eminent personalities from different walks of life were present to grace the occasion including family members luminaries mentioned on the commemorative stones. Chief guest Mr. Rakesh Kalra appreciated the contribution being made by Sunbeam Group of Educational Institutions for not only beautifying the Airports Authority of India park at LBS Airport of Varanasi, but also in a way contributing in promoting the city Varanasi for the outsiders.

SAVE GANGA an attempt by SUNBEAMIANS
The enthusiasm and determination of the students, staff and management of Sunbeam Group at the various Ghats of river Ganges in Varanasi, came to the fore as they reiterated their responsibility and commitment towards environment and ecology by showing their concern to save the sacred river from further pollution to ascertain its existence for ages to come. In a unique show of solidarity, the 3000 strong army of Sunbeamians raised slogans and cleaned the ghats. Mr. Deepak Madhok, Chairman and Mrs. Bharti Madhok, Director Sunbeam group initiated the move and the entre team follwed and both were happy to witness the panache of the students and staff of Sunbeam.
