Adding a beautiful feather to her cap, Miss Ritika Rupani of class V-C had the honour of being with the dance maestro Ms. Saroj Khan in Nach Le which is a popular programme in NDTV. She has successfully cleared two preliminary rounds and reached amongst the best 4 students who were selected from Varanasi for the final audition. Asked about her feelings after meeting the talented choreographer, she was excited and told that it is the most memorable and unforgettable day of her life which she would like to cherish for years to come.

Saumya Trivedi of Sunbeam ,Varuna stands fourth at Mumbai at the finals of Nachle with Saroj Khan show telecasted on NDTV imagine.She was overwhelmed with joy for being called to Mumbai again on 16th of this month.This young star perfomed for the finals after being selected as the only candidate from Varanasi.She couldn't express her feelings after coming back as she was on top of the world after being acquainted with so many celebrities in Mumbai.Congratulations Saumya!

 A Science seminar on “communication”  Bhagwanpur

A Science seminar was organized on the 4th July’08 for science students of Class XII in the school auditorium. The subject for discussion in the seminar was ‘Communication’. The seminar proceedings opened with the conduction by Trayambak Mishra of XII E, who introduced the idea of communication supported by a history of communication. Students presented slide shows to enlighten the audience about the various mediums of commincation that was followed by the set of questions put to the audience based on the presentation. It was Akash of XII D who introduced the basic jargon related to electronic communication system, and Anurag Upadhyay of XII C highlighted the use of telegraph, telephone, radio. The other students who presented the PowerPoint presentations were Arka Provo Kundu, Ashish Anand, Ruchir Shubro, Nishant Kumar and Ambud Sharma. All in all, it was an enlightening seminar for the audience who also received prizes for answering the questions enthusiastically. The vote of thanks was given by Traymbak Mishra of XII E.

 1st NDSG All India Invitational Skating Champioship  Bhagwanpur

Young skaters of the Sunbeam School, Bhagwanpur, clinched a rich haul of medals in the 1st NDSG All India Invitational Skating Championship. The event was held at Remal public school, Delhi from 27th May to 31st May. The school skaters won three gold medals, three silver medals and six bronze medals. Mrs. Rupam Sah, Principal, appreciated the achivements of the school skaters.

 Excellent performance of Sunbeam Bhagwanpur in 22nd All India Pepsi Cricket Cup  Bhagwanpur

Sunbeam Bhagwanpur’s cricketing heroes gained huge acclaim in the 22nd All India Pepsi Cricket Cup. Ayush Mishra declared the best Batsman in under 19 category and Harsh Bansal best bowler in under 14 category. Harsh has also been awarded a scholarship of free coahing at Najafgadh Cricket Club. Now the team will participate in upcoming All India Coca Cola Cup.

 11th Senior Women State Netball Championship  Bhagwanpur

11th Senior Women State Netball Championship was organised by Dist. Netball Association Varanasi on 14th & 15th June’08 at Guru Nanak School. Saumya Singh (Class XI) & Swati Singh (Class X) of Sunbeam Bhagwanpur represented the Varanasi Dist. Team & the Team secured 2nd place in the championship. They have also been selected for the UP State Net Ball Team (junior) & will participate in National sub. Junior Netball Championship held at Jaipur. Both the girls were successfully coached by Ms. Madhuri Mishra.

We are the first group of schools in Varanasi to go in for such kind of mass assessment. Each student will be given individual feedback. The school will also get to know specific areas requiring attention. The test will be conducted on the 5th of Aug’ 08 during the school timings in the various branches.
